By Aniekan Umanah AKSG News (Posted: March 30, 2011) The Akwa Ibom state traditional council has reaffirmed its support for the second term ambition of governor godswill obot akpabio, just as it declared the governor as "the symbol of unity in the state." The position of the traditional rulers was contained in a communique issued at the end of the first all akwaibom traditional rulers summit held in uyo the akwaibopm state capital. The traditional fathers also condemned the recent destruction to lives and property of Akwa Ibom people by some miscreants in the name of politics, saying," we are satisfied with the performance and the uncommon achievements of His Excellency Obong Godswill Akpabio". They also reaffirmed their support for the governor noting that" we therefore implore all registered voters in the state to come out and vote our dear governor to victory in the forthcoming April governorship election." The communique added that "we also noted with satisfaction, the unification of all ethnic nationalities in the state made possible by the unparralled leadership quality of Obong Godswill Akpabio."
