A commissioner 1 in the state Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB has expressed joy over the State Governor Chief Godswill Akpabio�s revolutionary approach to the development in Akwa Ibom which has earned him commendations from national and international organisations.

The commissioner, Elder Chris Okonna who disclosed this in an interaction with newsmen in his office, expressed delight over the recent This Day Newspaper award on Chief Akpabio as an emerging tiger that has brought Akwa Ibom to global reckoning.

Elder Okonna was overjoyed at the above 100% rating of the governor�s performance by the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Abubakar Baraje during a recent visit to the state.

According to the SUBEB chieftain, the Senate Constitution Review Committee led Senator Ike Ekweremadu had earlier scored the governor�s performance very high, adding that such performance was now the basis of the spate of endorsements on the Governor from all strata of the State.

He also recalled that the South South Zonal PDP led by the zonal Chairman, Edet Nkpubre had also expressed satisfaction with Chief Akpabio�s developmental disposition to governance.

The SUBEB Commissioner mentioned the various areas in which the Governor�s endorsements flourished, to include the e-library project, Tropicana Entertainment Centre, Free and Compulsory Education, massive roads, international airport and Independent Power Plant, IPP.

He said he was happy that Dana Airline has maintained regular flight at the Ibom Airport, blaming the takeoff of the IPP on archaic transformers of NEPA (PHCN).� Elder Okonna said the success story of chief (Dr.) Godswill Obot Akpabio was making Akwa Ibom people proud in Nigeria with his achievements profile, and added that it was the wish of the people for the governor to continue beyond 2015. He said that never in the history of the State has a governor been so loved by his people, and commended the governor for banishing ethnicity in the State.

HE said that the Governor has set a wonderful precedence in Akwa Ibom by acknowledging the supremacy of God and always leading the people of the state to seek the face of God.

Elder Okonna urged the people of the state to continue supporting the administration of Chief Godswill Akpabio in its effort to make the state a preferred destination. Mr. Okonna said with the evidence of good governance exhibited by Chief Akpabio, he was not surprise at the spate of endorsements on the governor for a second term in office.

Elder Okonna, who is also the Coordinator of Friends of Godswill Akpabio worldwide (FOGAW), particularly expressed happiness on the successes recorded by the Governor in the State, and assured that FOGAW members will continue giving their utmost best to the Governor as he does more in the state.
