Aero Contractors May Join AKS Airport Fleet (Posted: April 17, 2010)

Another airline, Aero Contractors is soon to commence commercial flight operations at the Ibom International Airport.

This was made known at the Government House Uyo, when the Head of Commercials, Aero Contractors, Mr. Robert Prophet led other officials of the airline on a Courtesy visit to Governor Godswill Akpabio. Mr. Robert who commended the phenomenal development of Akwa Ibom under the administration of Chief Godswill Akpabio mentioned that his company looked forward to a unique and faithful partnership with the state.

On his part, the State Governor Chief Godswill Akpabio, who was represented by his Deputy, Engr. Patrick Ekpotu, commended the initiative of Aero Contractors to begin operations at the Airport, assuring that the government and people of Akwa Ibom were ready for the airline.

Describing the coming together of Aero Contractors and Ibom International Airport as a fusion of two great brands, Chief Akpabio stated that "the airport, conceived to provide international aviation services, is already receiving wide acclaim and patronage."

Governor Akpabio assured the Company that his administration was prepared to give some special consideration that would enable the airline provide efficient and satisfactory services to the people.

In attendance during the visit were some members of the State Executive Council and the Chairman Airport implementation Committee, Otuenkong Idongesit Nkanga.
